As of Fall 2014, the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) at Georgetown University began offering a full-tuition scholarship for a talented graduate student from sub-Saharan Africa.
This Africa Scholarship is a full tuition scholarship.

This Africa Scholarship is awarded yearly to African students. You are strongly advised to visit this website regularly to see more scholarship opportunities.
Important Information: “Some scholarships require you to first apply to the host university for admission before you can be considered for scholarships. Fortunately, it doesn’t cost any fee to apply for admission as an international student.
If the scholarship eligibility criteria require you to hold an offer of a place at the university and you will be automatically awarded the scholarship”. While few others require you to first be a newly admitted student (fresh student) of the university before being awarded a scholarship, hence the need for you to step up efforts in your quest to study abroad.
Also, ensure you first read the eligibility criteria and application procedure of every scholarship opportunity published on this website carefully before commencing your application because some scholarships don’t necessarily require you to first apply to the host university for admission or be a fresh student as stated earlier.

Although international applicants from all African countries are eligible to apply for the Africa Scholarship, special consideration will be given to applicants from:

To be considered for the Africa scholarship, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree.
HOW TO APPLY
Applicants must submit all required application materials (online application, personal statement, official transcripts and test scores, letters of recommendation).
The scholarship will be awarded based on the strength of the student’s application in the admissions process.
The application deadline for Fall 2019 is January 15, 2019.
